Hello:) Take a look at prior post by Lotus Pilot:

“Your iPad5 doesn’t support Fast Charging - however, it can be safely used with the Apple 18W USB-PD Power Adapter. Your iPad will continue to charge at its maximum supported charge rate - this being 5V @2.4A (12W).

Here is Apple’s information about Fast Charging and the models of iPad that support USB-PD Fast Charge.”
