Voicemail

I have a iPhone 7 Plus and it won’t let me set up voicemail and when I enter password it takes it as far as letting me type it one time but doesn’t give me the option to go further

Voicemail I have the IPhone Xs and I got it a couple of months ago now and I have not been able to set up my voicemail. I’ve tried for the past month and a half and I just keep getting a pop up window said that it can’t connect and to try again later every time.
