I’m in east Africa my iPhone doesn’t support local SIM card, please help.
Because your phone is locked to whichever provider you last used in it. Contact them for unlock (if they allow it).

Whichever network provider has locked your phone they need to unlock it. Nobody else can.
The SIM card functions with other handsets it is only my iPhone don’t support the SIM card
