Mac Air Keyboard

My Mac Air wouldn’t let me type my password. Certain letters work and others don’t. I have tried to use an external keyboard and have the same issue. When I try and reboot, it still asks for my password which I cannot enter. Any help?

What letters do not work? If it is 789uiojkl, you need to turn OFF Mouse Keys in Accessibility preferences.
