Will a Custom Domain block e-mails sent to original domain?

If I make a custom domain, will I still receive e-mails that are addressed to my AppleID using the .mac; .me; and .icloud domain?

1) appleid@me.com;

2) appleid@mac.com;

3) appleid@icloud.com;

-or-

4) appleid@customdomain.com

Will I only be able to receive at the custom domain? Thereby having to update all parties which use the original (1-3) domains?
