can't find my music in itunes

my songs are grayed out but in my history and i can't play them

Is it ALL your songs? Or just a few? If it is just a few, perhaps the downloaded song file got corrupted somehow. You might try deleting it and then redownload it.

Redownload music - Apple Support

If it is all your songs, that usually means the song files/folder (in your iTunes library) got moved somehow (or deleted). See the 'Find the iTunes Media folder' section in:
