iphone unlock with watch

So, updated to iOS 15.0.1 hoping the Apple Watch "unlock iPhone with mask" would work, but still does not unlock my iPhone. WatchOS is on 8.0 and iPhone 13 Pro. I have also reset my watch just in case and still won't unlock the iPhone....is anyone else having this issue...any help

Some people have found that restarting the watch & paired iPhone fixed the problem. If that doesn't work for you, you can try unpairing them and pair again. The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
