How can I use the same apple id on my iphone and ipad but be able to use my ipad completely separate, such as reorganize the layout of my apps and delete apps i dont want on my ipad but do want on my phone?

You can easily disable automatic installation of Apps from iPad Settings:


Settings > App Store > [Automatic Downloads]

  • Apps - set to OFF
  • App Updates - set to OFF




You may also wish to consider data this is synchronised via iCloud:

Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > iCloud - select/deselect Apps as appropriate for your needs.
