macbook air won´t leave the install update screen

So i was updating my macbook air m1, had to leave while it was installing the update in the black proggress bar, so i closed it because i was in a hurry.

when i came home it took forever and decided to close it and open MacOS recovery.

But it could not find any user to open the MacOs recovery and now im stuck with a never ending update installing screen.

Shutdown by any means including Power Button.

Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Repair Disk, clear cache files and eliminate all third party software, extension and fonts from loading. It will be slow to load. If all goes well, this may or may not allow the update process to complete - hopefully successfully.

M1 Safe Mode

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Shut Down.
  2. After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds.
  3. Press and hold the power button on your Mac until the startup options window appears showing available startup disks and Options.
  4. Select a startup disk.
  5. Press and hold the Shift key, click Continue in Safe Mode, then release the Shift key.
