OSX - trash bin won´t empty

My Trash bin won't empty. It seems like it is coming back from any sync option.

Every time I empty it, after a few seconds the deleted folder comes back.

Running on: macOS Monterey 12.0.1

Following I´ve already tried:

  • deleting with option key hold down
  • trying to remove via Terminal with sudo rm

Any Suggestions are welcome, this behavior is new to me after upgrading to Monterey

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.0

Disable SIP

You need to boot into Recovery Mode, disable SIP by running "csrutil disable" in the Terminal. Restart then empy the Trash. Then you should re-enable SIP by typing "csrutil clear” in the Terminal.

I've put it back to where I delete from and the trash bin is now empty. If I delete it in the Terminal by "rm -rf" the folder returns after a few seconds.

The folder I want to delete resides in "Documents" which I think is synced to icloud

Foldername is "node_modules\ 3"
