Apple TV sharing

Hi

ive shared my Apply TV with a family member for them to watch in there TV, do they log in with there own Apple ID or mine

Yes that is correct. There is no reason to ever use someone else’s Apple ID on your own devices. Family Sharing is specifically designed to share content across different Apple IDs, so that everyone can keep and use their own Apple ID.

If you used Family Sharing as explained in the following link and invited their Apple ID to your Family Group then they use their Apple ID to log in. Link-> Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support

If you did something else, then explain what that was.

Via share in my Apple ID I used Family Sharing and set an invite via “messages”, he received it and I got an acknowledgment back confirming.

on his TV he opened the Apple TV app and signed in with his Apple ID and password, is that correct
