Text messaging

I can’t send a picture through text, and I am not receiving text messages from devices other than an iPhone.

I have MMS and SMS turned on in my settings. Please help.

iPhone 6s, iOS 11

You need to contact your carrier to ensure that you have an SMS/MMS plan on your account. The SMS setting on your iPhone is just to allow texts to be sent to iOS devices if there is a problem with iMessage. Make sure you have cellular data turned on, as that is a requirement for sending a picture via MMS to a non-iOS device.
