Mail not working
I have an iMac 27 inch late 2013
operating system catalina 10.15.7
unable to receive and send mail.
all settings are apparently correct.
what can be done or checked?

You should first follow the steps in If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac - Apple Support. If you go through all the steps and it still does not work, then manually input all the settings. I have seen them get corrupt but appear to be okay so just re-inputting the settings seems to correct the problem.
