I’m thinking of buy the Apple 13 for my 15 year old daughter. Can I use my iPhone 12 Pro Max AppleCare for her phone or do I have to purchase a separate Apple care for her phone?

You have to purchase a separate plan. Apple Care is tied to the device and cannot be transferred.
