When will my custom email domain appear in my Mail?

I was able to create my new custom email domain and I sent a test email to it which appears to have worked. How do I create an email from this new email account? My custom email does not appear in my From drop down in Mail.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

Just tried adding the account which is associated to my iCloud appleID. It said it was already signed in. I had already rebooted my Mac and when I opened Mail <poof> there it was! So not sure if it was your wise advice or simply the reboot but it all works now.
