Up date problems

how do I download the update. So I can download apps I need for work it says that that my iPad is compatible with the 14 update but when I go to settings it says it’s fully updated on the 12 update

I need help updating my iPad if possible! I have an iPad that is IOS 10.3.3. However, when I want to download apps it refuses me and said I need iOS 14. So I tried to software update it, however for some reason it doesn't want to update. It keeps saying it is up to date. But it isn't? Is it even possible for me to update my iPad, or find a way to switch it so I can only download apps that I'm allowed to use that doesn't require iOS 14?

If it's reporting that 12.5.5 is up to date, it's a first generation model and incapable of 13 or above. Otherwise, remove the beta profile and restart the unit.

If removing it causes the iPad to offer an update to 12.5.5, see above.
