Imac mid. 2011 as target display of M1 pro

Hi,

How can I set imac mid. 2011 as M1 pro's target display? I have brought an A1790 Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor and connected to Imac, with Command + F2 but failed to trigger imac as target display.


It was working on Intel Macbook pro.


iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

The M1 is too newThe last Macs that could use a supported iMac in Target Display Mode were the 2019 models, and they had to be running Catalina 10.15 or older. M1 Macs are not supported. The hardware and software requirements for TDM are in this Apple article:
