Deleted startup disk and all updates on macbook

Well here I am. I’m in the process of selling my MacBook Pro 2017 and I did the manual process to delete everything. I did everything as told but I accidentally deleted everything so now I can’t log back in or basically do anything. When I try to erase Macintosh ID it says erase process has failed so that doesn’t work. Don’t know what to do.

You need to follow the steps here to sell it (be sure to disassociate your device from your Apple ID):

if you can, use internet recovery at this point to boot into and then reinstall the OS.

You'd use a Mac to create one. So, use a friend or family member's Mac to do so (with their permission, of course)
