How can two adults on a family share account make purchases using their own credit cards?

I am an adult on a family share plan. How can I make purchases using my own credit card, rather than the credit card on the family plan?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.0

You can't, except by purchasing gift cards and redeeming them into your individual account.
