MacOS reinstall on mid2012 MacBook pro

I erased my Macbook pro (mid 2012) using disk utility to prep for turn in. Showed blinking question mark folder when starting up after erase so doing MacOS reinstall, but doesn’t show disk options when “select the disk where you want to install” comes up. What now to get disks to show.
