I.ve an 1822 iPad 9.7 I.m buying a new case.is there a difference between and i Pad pro 9.7 and iPad 9.7.
I found one that I like but It says for IPad Pro 9.7 and I don’t know if it will fit my 1822.

Fitted cases designed for specific models of iPad vary in more than just physical dimensions of the iPad.
Cases that include a screen cover very often have embedded magnets that interact with a sensor beneath the screen bezel - this sensor triggering the screen lock/unlock function of the iPad. The sensor location varies between iPad models - and therefore so does the corresponding magnet that is embedded in the cover.
Similarly, the physical buttons of the iPad must perfectly align with any corresponding cut-out within the case - or buttons incorporated within the case itself.
Unless the cover that propose to use lists the explicit model that you intend to use, you will be taking a chance with compatibility. The 9.7” models of iPad and iPad Pro are quite old designs; as a consequence, you are perhaps unlikely to find an Apple-manufactured case for these models. As with all third-party products, you’ll have to verify suitability of any third-party case.
