iPhone 11 is not making noise or vibration for text messages

I just bought this iPhone11and can’t get it to make any noise or vibration when I receive text messages. I’ve tried several of the suggestions and I don’t have a watch.

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand you're not hearing any sound for your notifications for the Messages app. We'd like to help out with this.

It sounds like you've tried some troubleshooting already. Have you tried Settings > Notifications > Messages and ensured "Allow Notifications" is on and that you have something selected under Sounds?

Do you have Do Not Disturb or a Focus turned on under Settings > Focus?

Also, have you made sure your device isn't in silent mode? How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode
