Help me factory reset a MacBook Pro from 2012

I have a MacBook Pro from 2012 I would like to reset. The normal directions of Command+R or Option+Command+R+P are not working and I do not have an option under system preferences to erase anything. Can anyone help?

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.10

I believe Mac’s issued before June of 2013 does not support Internet recovery
