I am not able to pair my old watch 2 series to new iPhone

I am not able to pair my old Apple Watch to my new iPhone 13 pro. It pairs and immediately unpairs. Pairing failed. Please help

I erased my watch and trying to pair with new phone. After several retries I got it fixed. Looks like the old watch wasn’t updated with latest ios
