Hello!
Got a new MBP for Christmas. Upgraded recently to Monterey 12.1. Now, whenever I try to use Finder to run a search for a file, I just get an empty search result even when I know the file exists. Search only works if I run it in Macintosh HD. Any other file and I get nothing. Can anyone please help?

Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support
Try rebuilding the Spotlight index.
In Terminal, paste the following line:
sudo mdutil -E /
type your password when asked (nothing will show on screen).

Once the original issues is fixed.
Suggest updating to most recent version Monterey 12.2.1 released Feb 10, 2022 - brings bug and security fixes.
