Region settings for credit card

I am trying to add a credit card to my wallet and I can’t. I get a message the the region settings do not allow it?

iPhone 12, iOS 15

Where are you located?

If you can't add a card to Apple Wallet to use with Apple Pay Make sure that you are in a 👉 supported country or region.
