How can I see historical records of iMessages to my iPhone?

This phone is on my mobile telephone plan, however it is used by my daughter. I have reason to believe certain parts of text messages were deleted, and was hoping to be able to see the incoming and outgoing text records to compare to the message found on the device. Any advice?
