Turn off Find My on your iPhone on a damaged phone. Can you do it externally

I need to get a phone replaced as it is badly damaged, with a smashed screed and back, and it does not work.

The insurers are requesting 'Please turn off Find My iPhone'.

The only instructions I can find is doing on a working phone.

Is there a way of doing it remotely

If you can't use that iPhone screen 'cause it's damaged, see this support article:--> Remove a device from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com – Apple Support (UK)
