Printers compatible with Monterey?

Every time Apple moves to a new operating system, devices seem to no longer work. Is there a list anywhere of printers that are compatible with macOS 12? Companies often will just advertise that they are compatible with Macs without being too specific. For example, Brother doesn't have a printer driver for macOS 11 or 12.

Thanks.

Hi,

The printers listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support should all be compatible with macOS Monterey. An AirPrint-enabled model does not require additional drivers, provided that the printer and the computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

If there is a problem with an existing printer, please post back with the exact model. Sometimes, a workaround may be possible.

Printers/scanners are always the first causality in any macOS upgrade, nothing new here—

If airprint is not listed for your specific device, visit the developers/brand name website and search:

If it is listed as AirPrint printer, delete the existing printer in

Since you fail to mention which exact "Brother" printer...I see 543 "Brother's" listed...

If you can't find an updated driver for your printer give the open-source, free Gutenprint driver a try.
