Why duplicate songs?
why do i have so many duplicate songs listed in the library?
if i play an album on my imac, it will play the same song twice.

However, it doesn't answer the question as to 'why' itunes/apple does this.f
Seems it is very confusing to many people and it adds to the dislike of itunes as a program we are forced to use.
If you were suffering from cloudy duplicates, then I don't know why iTunes/Music sometimes does this, but clearly it is a bug of some kind rather than designed behaviour. There are other user actions that can introduce duplicates to the library because the software isn't specifically made to detect and prevent them.
