I forgot my password to open up my MAC. It requires a Recovery Key which I do not have either. How do I open up my computer?

I forgot my password to open up my MAC laptop. It directs me to place a Recovery Key in so that I can change it. Have no idea what this is so still cannot get it to open. Suggestions?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.6
