I have a new iPhone 13 pro max and the only pro it has been at as of now for the last 6 hours is creating a frustrating experience with "reconnecting" when I changed wifi. Software update had been spinning on "install now" for 4 hours.

How does one know when an iphone 13 pro max (new) is simply spinning its wheel or really doing some updates after 6 hours of spinning wheels

Greetings, ForwardingFee.

If your update is taking a long time, there are some steps you can take.

“You need an internet connection to update your device. The time it takes to download the update varies according to the size of the update and your internet speed. You can use your device normally while downloading the update, and your device will notify you when you can install it. To improve the speed of the download, avoid downloading other content and use a Wi-Fi network if you can.” If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't update

We hope this helps!

Sincerely.
