iwatch wont pair to phone due to forgotten password to icloud account when set up my watch

i have forgotten my initial icloud password i used when i first set my watch up i now have a new phone and tried to reset my watch but its asking for my password for my apple id when i set it up the first time. mind you it is not my passcode to the watch when its locked i have changed my icloud password since i first registered my watch i tried resetting the settings and all content on my watch but i just cant get it to pair

You can ask apple to remove the activation lock online on this page;

Remove the Activation Lock Here.

Or this;

If you can't remember/gain access to the apple id that paired the watch to the phone.Take the watch and it's receipt with the serial number along with some photo id and any other proof of ownership to an Apple Store and request that they remove the Activation Lock for you.
