My Apple Music won’t allow me to save / add music to my library. Whenever I click the add button it never saves.

I did this and it still doesn’t work for some reason , I’ve also discovered that I can’t delete music either.
Close the app and do a force restart:

Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support
It is odd. Some drastic measures are called for.
Delete the app and download again or Restore all content to iPhone from a backup – Apple Support (AU)
In that case go to Settings > [Your Name] > Media and Purchases, sign out and sign in again. Also if syncing is enabled in Settings > Music, turn it off and back on.
