How to set a password to the MacBook Air. Different from Apple ID?
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.1
System Preferences > User & Groups > Change Password. <<< That sets your local Mac password. Just make it different from your Apple ID PW.

Y have just changed the Apple id and iCloud password to have a different one in my MacBook. Hope it works.
