I have an email I periodically send to new clients. A copy also comes to me. I tried to move that email into the drafts folder so it is readily available the next time I want to send it to a client. When I moved it, it disappeared completely. It is no longer in my inbox or in the sent folder.

You should probably not move from the Inbox to Drafts.

By definition, a draft is a message you are composing; a message in the inbox is one that was sent to you.

Here is what you should probably do:

Command-N to create a new message

Copy and paste the desired content from that message in the inbox

Drag the new message to Drafts - or better yet, just press Command-S to Save.

Didn't work for me. I didn't appear in the draft folder and it was no longer in my inbox. I did find it in Archives along with a lot of other things I have no idea how they got there. There are actually two copies there. I suspect one is from my inbox as I copied myself and the other from the sent folder as the message is no longer in either of those (sent or inbox) places.

I've tried using the copy message from the tool bar and that does not work either.

This email contains web links that must work for my client so it is important that the integrity of the email is maintained.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I created a new message, copy and pasted as suggested and sent to myself. The links worked! 👍So I created another new email into which I pasted the content and simply hit the red close button and it went straight into the draft folder ready to use. You've made my day. Bless you. (Don't know why I didn't think to try this. Guess I was expecting the app to have a provision for it. )
