is it a bad idea to use a silicone keyboard cover on a 13.3 inch MacBook Pro?

Using a camera cover, palm rest, or keyboard cover on a Mac notebook - Apple Support

" Leaving any material on your display, keyboard, or palm rest might

Back of the bottom case and around the keyboard keys ... places heat exits from inside the system. Also pretty much every metal outer surface.

Besides, if you close the system without removing the cover you could stress and damage the display.

But carrying in a sleeve in a backpack when it is turned off is safe.
