The column slider control used to be at the top of the finder window. It has now changed to be at the bottom of the window which makes no sense at all. Anyway, is there a way to get the column slider control "II" back to the top of the window?
Also, is there a way to "save" the column widths so that I don't have to use said annoying slider as much?

Control-click on the "II" and choose your preference.

Not that I'm aware to both questions. If you want to move columns in Finder without using 'II' go to System Preferences > General > Show Scroll Bars > Automatically.
Thank you...it was set to "Automatic", but thanks for trying. Column widths still are truncating all my file names. I really do wonder how changes like this get through their review process.
