Accidental events are not covered by standard warranty, unless you subscribed (within 60 days from the date of purchase) to an AppleCare Plus Protection Plan).

Other types of "damages" (i.e. manufacturer's defects) require an investigation at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider.

Apple Technicians will judge and give you all the available options.

I don't think they can offer you money or discount, but you can try asking them.
