Password reset on other device

If you forgot your Apple ID password you can reset it by going to this site from Apple: http://iforgot.apple.com/.

If none of those methods will work for the person then they should: Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support

After you reset the password, follow the steps in this article.

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support.  *.  I suggest you do this before changing the ID and/or password.

Once you change the password, you must change it on all devices/computers. The change doesn't sync.
