Do you have the 13", 15", or 17" model? This is very important.
What version of macOS are you using? Also, have you made any recent hardware or software changes?
Can you take a picture of the Kernel Panic screen to post here? It probably won't show enough information to be useful, but you never know.
Try booting into Verbose Mode using Command + V. Sometimes a boot error may be displayed on the screen if the boot process stalls before launching the graphical interface. Another option may be to attempt to boot into Single User Mode using Command + S which will give you a command prompt. Single User Mode only boots a very limited bit of macOS and has no graphical interface, both of which may provide clues and may even allow us to access the full Kernel Panic log.
See if you can boot the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected.
We need to see if the issue is with the hardware or software so we need to try booting from external media to see what happens. Try booting into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R assuming your laptop has ever had macOS 10.12.6+ installed at some point in the past. Otherwise you can try creating & booting from a bootable macOS 10.11 or 10.13 USB installer assuming you have access to another Mac from 2008 to 2009 for creating a 10.11 installer, or a 2010 to 2018 Mac for a 10.13 installer.
