M1 Mac touchpad

Force touch and haptic feedback no longer working. Can't even log in on start up without a connected b/t mouse.

Any suggestions on how to fit this.

And yes, I have visited sys preferences, toggling Force Click on and off and restarting multiple times.

For some unknown reason, force touch, with mechanical movement, has started working again. All I did was pick up and move my MBA to a new location, which may have dislodged a small object in the track pad. I now have trackpad mechanical movement, whereas previously this wasn't happening. Just hope it is not an intermittent problem.
