Hi Sharingamacbook,

If your user account is an administrator, you can reset your wife's password on your side.

1. Log in to your user account.
2. Click the Apple logo in the top left corner, and select System Preferences.
3. In System Preferences, select Users and Groups.
4. In the left sidebar, check if your account is marked as Admin. If it is, continue with the rest of these steps.
5. Click the padlock in the bottom left corner, and enter your password when prompted.
6. Select your wife's account, and click Reset Password.
7. Have your wife enter the new password she wants to use, then click Reset Password to confirm.
