Family sharing age

I am 13 and you would like to remove myself from family sharing. Does my parents can force me to stay in it, or legally( I could sue them) I am not forced to stay in a family.

For most countries 13 is considered the age where you do not need to be part of Family Sharing in order to have an Apple ID. Refer to:

Leave Family Sharing - Apple Support See the internal link to remove someone

You can't remove a child under 13 from Family Sharing. You can either:

Move a child to another group using Family Sharing - Move a child to another group using Family Sharing - Apple Support

You can try removing yourself from the family (the people on this forum are just other users like you, not Apple). If you cannot do it then I think I have read where there have been issues where somebody just turned 13 and the system didn't catch onto it. Alternatively you may be in a country with a higher age requirement and that is likely imposed by local laws on Apple, not your parents. In that case you can try contacting Apple and see if they can help you:

Contact Apple. Click here --> Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

I don't know. I would think that once you are recognized by Apple as being 13 (or whatever the age is in the country where you live) then you should be able to leave on your own by following the instructions in that article I provided.

Realize that in order to do certain things Apple will require you have a valid payment method on record. This is often a credit card. Many countries won't issue credit cards to minors (16?) so you will still be dependent upon your parents unless you do not plan on using anything that requires proof of ability to pay.
