Apple Pay scam

I received a text message saying my Apple Pay was deactivated.

it said “A problem has occurred with your AppIe Pay waIIet. You can continue using contactless payments by visting: my-apple-wallet-id8.com”

Nothing ever happened because you were never prompted for a payment problem at the time of transaction.


If you receive a suspicious email or SMS text message that looks like it's supposed to be from Apple, please email it to reportphishing@apple.com. 


Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams.
