I have old iMessages on my Mac from before I ACCIDENTALLY deleted a text thread on my phone a year ago :( If I enable messages in iCloud will it delete the things I already have on my phone thread or simply add all the old stuff back?

I have old iMessages on my Mac from before I ACCIDENTALLY deleted a text thread on my phone a year ago :( If I enable messages in iCloud will it delete the things I already have on my phone thread or simply add all the old stuff on my MAC iMessage to my phone? There’s about a year of messages on my phone not on my Mac but all the old messages are on my Mac and not my phone.. I just want both together.

Best you can do is get screen shots from another participant in the conversation, if they’re willing and still have the messages.
