I created Apple ID and when I try to download apps it say verify your id, and it’s new ID and then they say enter verification code, from where to enter that code? As new gmail account is just created and what to do

I created Apple ID while setting up IPhone 13, then tried to download apps and it asked to verify account, when clicked it it said verification code sent to your email, I don’t know where is that code, when try to open this new gmail account on other device it also say it’s not verified email, how can I verify it so that I start downloading apps n iphone
