How to connect thumb drives to MacBook Air (M2, 2022

I've upgrade from a 2017AirBook to a 2022, M2 chip and thunderbolt ports


I still have a lot of usb drives (etc) around and want know what's the best thing to connect from a thunderbolt socket to a few USB drives.

There are many usb/usbc docking stations or adapters available.

For example USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple
