iPhone 14 Connecting To A 2018 Toyota Camry

I have a 2018 Toyota Camry running the standard Entune info-management system. I recently switched from a iPhone 11 over to a iPhone 14 (running iOS 16.0.2) and I have run into a pairing connection problem. I dropped the registration of my iPhone 11 in the car and successfully paired my new iPhone 14 to the car. The problem is when I start the car again the Camry and the iPhone 14 won't connect for some reason even though I see the car and the iPhone 14 in each of the Bluetooth registered device lists. If I unpair and do the re-pairing again that allows the car and iPhone to work. What am I doing wrong please? When I had my iPhone 11 all I had to do was pair once and afterwards the car and iPhone 11 would automatically connect, this is not happening with my iPhone 14.

Hello ApplyGuy905,

Have you had a chance to try out these related troubleshooting steps yet: If you need help with CarPlay - Apple Support

If you need help with CarPlay

If CarPlay doesn't work like you expect, learn what to do.

First, make sure that your country or region supports CarPlay and that your car supports CarPlay. If you're unsure if your car supports CarPlay, contact the vehicle manufacturer.
Make sure that your iPhone has the latest version of iOS. If your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS, follow these steps — checking CarPlay after each step:
1. Check your connection to your CarPlay stereo:
- If you have a wired connection, try connecting again with a different USB cable to a different USB port if you have one.
- If you have a wireless connection, make sure that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled under Settings > Wi-Fi and Settings > Bluetooth.
2. If CarPlay doesn't activate automatically, look for the CarPlay logo on your car's display.
3. Restart your iPhone and your car.
4. Make sure that Siri is on.
5. If your iPhone isn't detected by CarPlay, make sure that CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure that CarPlay is enabled.
6. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car, then tap Forget This Car. Then set up CarPlay again.
7. Make sure that your CarPlay stereo is using the latest firmware from the car manufacturer. Check your car's manual for more information.

If you still have issues connecting to CarPlay, contact Apple Support.

If not, we'd suggest taking them now, as they often solve issues with CarPlay and the iPhone. If the issue continues to occur, do you have the same issue using another vehicle? Which iOS version are you currently using? As updates often resolve similar issues, as well.

Hoping to hear how it goes, take care.
