Locating Apple Watch if it’s possibly dead

I haven’t been able to locate my watch or paying it I’m having trouble locating it can i still use my iPhone to ping it, if it’s dead will it even still ping after so long?

If its dead, it can't be tracked electronically. You'll have to use the old fashioned look for it method.
